Read back to school poems and vocabulary words. Log in your readings on the reading log sheet.

 Go over the school notices in section two and ask your parents to fill out the forms and return them to school.

Mathematics

Find different patterns around your home or in your neighborhood.  Be prepared to share your ideas with the class next week.

Dear Parents,

 My Name is Mrs. Tsimiklis and I will be your child’s English teacher this year.  Mme. Gauthier will be the French Teacher. Mme. Barro will be teaching Music.  Mr. Costa will be the physical Education teacher and Mrs. Dennick and Mr. Lepine will be our resource teachers.Your child is very important to us and we look forward to a fantastic year filled with learning and funJ!

Our Open House Night is on Tuesday September 11th, 2012.

 

We have provided the students with a tentative schedule.  You will find it in section two of the binder.  All school notices are in section two.

 If you would like to contact us before September 11^th, please call the school or write a note in the agenda.

Please note that the school will be closed on September 4^th, due to the elections.

Dear Parents,

There will be no more homework sheets.  Hurrah!

However, over the summer months I would like to encourage all of the students to read regularly.  Have fun reading together and try discussing the stories with them.  The more the children read…...the more they learn….the more they grow….the more they discover…and oh the confidence they acquire!  In addition, try using math in every day situations and keep playing games with basic addition &subtraction facts. Flash cards, five minute drills and car games are great for sharpening their math skills. I have added some multiplication facts if they would like to practice for grade three.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for your continuous support and encouragement.  Your children are very important to me and we had a fantastic year together! The end of the year always brings a little sadness as they go to the next grade.

I wish you all a wonderful summer filled with happiness and fun!

We  are off to the The Great Barrier Reef on June 14th at 6:30 PM.
Test on "Review" Spelling words.

Mathematics

Complete Drill sheets. One each night.
Introduction to multiplication.

No Spelling words this week.

Mathematics

Complete math drill sheets.
Complete cumulative review sheets from prism math.

Space Virtual Tour will be held on Wednesday May 30th.

Australia Visit will be held on June 14th at 6:30 PM.

Study New spelling words:

Long vowel words:   shades,cried, planes, least, really

Mathematics:

Complete math drill sheets

Complete Cumulative review Chapters 1-4.

Complete math problems.

Test on time and money this week.

CAT4 Exams (Canadian standardized test) will be given this month in English and Mathematics more information to follow.

Virtual tour with astronaut will be either on May 14th or on the 28th.
